Extract and Box provides a safe learning environment for students to gain the practical skills and knowledge required to develop and sustain an apiary yard.  Once established the school yards become self sustaining through the production and sale of their honey and value added products.  We mentor the students in the full life cycle development of individual bees and the colony as a whole through seasonal changes.   We provide the opportunity for the students to extract their honey at our facility, where they can learn the process and gain further understanding of their products life cycle.  In a montessori approach club sessions are stuctured in a semi formal way to allow for both practical development of maintaining healthy colonies while engaging natural curiosity with students self selected product development.
